Troubleshooting

top -Changes I am making aren't appearing on my 'live' site. What should I do?

Your browser may have “cached” the old page. When you view a website, your browser will only download a new version of a page once per “session”. If you change your site and then look at your changes, you’ll still see the old version. There are several ways to get around this:
· If you use Firefox there is a great addon, which we use all the time! Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1801 and download it.
· Alternatively you can reload any individual page by holding down the Ctrl+shift keys and selecting View->Refresh in your browser’s menu.
Each browser also allows you to clear its cache manually:
Internet Explorer 7
1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
2. Choose the General tab.
3. Under Browsing history, click Delete.
4. Next to "Temporary Internet Files", click Delete files.
5. Click Close, and then click OK to exit.

Internet Explorer 4.x, 5.x, and 6.x for Windows
1. From the Tools menu (for version 4.x, the View menu), select Internet Options.
2. Choose the General tab.
3. In the "Temporary Internet Files" section, click Delete Files.
4. To confirm the deletion, click OK.
5. In the Internet Options dialog box, click OK.
Firefox 2.0 for Windows
From the Tools menu, select Clear Private Data, and then choose Cache.

Firefox 1.0 and 1.5 for Windows
1. From the Tools menu, select Options, and then click Privacy.
2. In 1.5, select the Cache tab, and then click the Clear Cache Now button. In 1.0, next to Cache, click the Clear button, and then click OK.

Safari
1. From the Safari menu, select Empty Cache.
2. When prompted, click Empty to confirm that you want to empty the cache.

Firefox 1.x and 2.0 for Mac OS X
1. From the Firefox menu, select Preferences.
2. From the sheet that drops down, select Privacy. In 2.0, click Clear Now. In 1.5, click Clear Cache Now. In 1.0, next to Cache, click the Clear button, and then OK.

top -How do I take a screen shot of a problem on my site?

To send a screenshot from a PC, do the following:
1. Press "prt Scr" twice. This button is usually towards the top right of your keyboard.
2. Open your photo editing package (e.g. Paint) and create a new blank document.
3. Paste the screenshot into the document.
5. Save the file as a JPEG and mail it to support@HolidaySiteBuilder.com

To send a screenshot from a Mac:
1. Hold down "Command" (Apple-key), "Shift" and "3" to copy the screen to the clipboard.
2. Follow the PC instructions from step 2.

top -I forgot my password

On the Login page you will see a link that says “Forgot your password?”. Click this to be sent a reminder to your registered email account.

top -I keep getting an error when I log in

If you get a system error (i.e. not a wrong password or email) when trying to log in, please check your browser’s security settings by doing the following:

Internet Explorer 6
Select Tools->Internet options Click on the "Privacy" tab.
Either: Select "medium" as your level for all sites and click "ok"
Or: click on "sites" and allow www.HolidaySiteBuilder.com to set cookies.

Internet Explorer 7
Select Tools -> Internet Options, click on the Privacy tab and click on the 'Advanced' button. Click on the "Overide automatic cookie handling" box to access the controls.

Firefox 1.0 and 2.0
Select Tools -> Options -> Privacy and then Cookies. The default option is to let websites set cookies, so you should not have any problems if you have not changed the default settings.

top -The text on my site has changed size

Please check your browser's text size - in Internet Explorer and Firefox this can be done by selecting View->Text size.
This is sometimes inadvertently changed if you have a scroll wheel mouse - holding down the control key and moving the scroll wheel will adjust the font size.
